• English: ΜΗΤΡΟΤΗΤΑ (Maternity) This sculpture by George Wyllie (2004) is titled "ΜΗΤΡΟΤΗΤΑ" (Μητρότητα is a Greek word meaning "Maternity").
• It stands in Rottenrow Gardens, which are named after the Royal Maternity Hospital ("Rottenrow") which stood near here, serving Glasgow from 1860 to 2001.
• Part of the facade of the hospital has been preserved, and stands at the upper end of this garden area; see: 1015791.
• The buildings at the lower end of the gardens, seen in the background, belong to Strathclyde University.
